The impressive achievement of the Interstate Cup Challenge Team, which has amassed a remarkable total of 96 points, serves as a testament to the meticulous and strategic selection process involved in this competition. It’s important to note that this event is not solely about speed and results; rather, it demands careful planning and consideration of other state selections.
Each State/Territory team manager must engage in a thorough analysis of qualifying times, as well as the strengths and weaknesses of their own competitors and those of other state competitors. This intricate process ensures that the selected athletes not only demonstrate individual excellence but also take into account the selection of other competitors within their classes by other managers.
A special mention to all the riders who travelled to WA to fight for a place in the top 40 and just missed out in their respective classes including #112 Kingsley Potts and #126 Floyd Williamson. Your determination and effort have not gone unnoticed, and your dedication to the sport is truly commendable. Keep pushing forward, and we look forward to seeing you back on the track, stronger and more determined than ever.
We extend our best wishes to all competitors for a safe journey back to Darwin, Alice Springs, and Nhulunbuy, and a speedy recovery to our injured riders as they prepare for future competitions.
